Legendary film actress Lauren Bacall has died at age 89, the estate of her former husband Humphrey Bogart confirmed Tuesday afternoon. Born in New York City in 1924 as Betty Joan Perske, according to biography on IMDb, Bacall was a model before quickly gaining fame in Hollywood. At age 19, she starred opposite Bogart in “To Have and Have Not” in 1944. She married the leading man a year later, and they remained together until his death in 1957.
