The 606 and the Bloomingdale Trail: Drums, bicycles, ukeleles (and even beer) are part of Chicago’s rich manufacturing legacy

The Trust for Public Land has acquired its final piece of land for The 606 park and trail system on Chicago’s northwest side. Region Director Beth White joins the morning show to talk about the new four-acre park added and the new opening date of June 2015. Historian and researcher Jim Peters is in studio as well to describe an event about the The Bloomingdale Trail — A Trail Through Chicago’s Manufacturing History, 6:30pm – 8pm, July 8, at The Hideout Chicago.
