RedEye Remix 6.7.14 – Printer’s Row Lit Fest Edition

Amy and Kate discuss the Printer’s Row Lit Fest going on in Chicago, and invite Josh Lesser of to talk about how the organization helps students from ages 6 to 18 with their creative writing skills. 826CHI services nearly 4,000 students a year with their programs, and is entirely free to those students.

826CHI maintains a network of more than 1,400 volunteers from the Chicago community -including professional writers, artists, and teachers— with more than 350 volunteers regularly devoting their time and talents to their programs. Listen as Josh describes how those students learn key writing skills from these volunteers – and how their stories are then published.
