John XXIII and John Paul II were canonized Sunday by Pope Francis in an unprecedented ceremony witnessed by huge crowds gathered in St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City. Chicagoans also gathered at the Five Holy Martyrs Church in the Birghton Park neighborhood.
