Bring on the Blues.
The Chicago Blackhawks learned who they will face in the first round of the playoffs when the Blues fell to the Red Wings 3-0 on Sunday. St. Louis finished second in the Central and will have home-ice advantage in a best-of-seven series against the Hawks beginning Thursday.
“The Blues have had an outstanding season,” Hawks coach Joel Quenneville said. “They play a hard game. They play a perfect team game positionally, they play tight, work hard and don’t give you any space.”
In five games against the Blues this season, the Hawks managed two victories—both at the United Center. It’s an opportune time for the Hawks as the Blues are struggling, having lost their last six regular-season games while trying to overcome injuries to several top players.
