Do you have a family member, friend or neighbor serving in the United States military? WGN Radio and The United Association of Union Plumbers, Fitters, Welders and Service Technicians want to pay tribute to these active members by providing special thanks on-air during every WGN Radio Cubs Baseball Sunday broadcast.
Only one entry per person, email address and household will be permitted for the entire contest period (although multiple entries from different individuals nominating the same person are permitted).
The winning nomination will be recognized by Cubs radio broadcasters Pat Hughes and Ron Coomer during the Sunday Cubs game broadcast (beginning April 6 vs PHI) and awarded a prize package from WGN Radio and The United Association. Click here for a complete game schedule.

The United Association’s Veterans in Piping (VIP) program offers high-quality skills training and jobs in the pipe trades to US veterans and active duty military personnel preparing to leave the service. UA General President William P. Hite established the program as a means of addressing two important issues: 1. A growing shortage in the construction industry of skilled workers due to the combined effects of an aging workforce, increased demand, and lack of skills training for youth; and 2. An exceedingly high unemployment rate for US veterans, despite their being a disciplined and highly trainable population. To learn more about the VIP program, visit uavip.org.
