She discusses the Companion Animal & Consumer Protection ordinance, up for this Wednesday, March 5 at City Hall. This ordinance would ban the sale of dogs, cats, and rabbits at Chicago pet stores. That would, of course, protect many animals and also protect consumers from fraudulent information via breeders or puppy mills.
