Dean Richards sat down with actor Mark Wahlberg who plays United States Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell, in the film “The Lone Survivor,” a story about a four-man Navy SEAL reconnaissance and surveillance team who are ambushed in Afghanistan, leaving Luttrell as the only survivor.

Richards also spoke with the real-life Marcus Luttrell who was an important consultant for the film by Friday Night Lights director Peter Berg.

Marcus Luttrell’s non-profit organization, The Lone Survivor Foundation, will be holding events in February for military and non-military families to take part in:

On Thursday, February 20th, the organization will host the Young Professionals Night at the House of Blues. All of the proceeds from this event will go to the Lone Survivor Foundation.

On Saturday, February 22nd, the organization will host The Black Tie Optional Gala at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Chicago. Congressman Adam Kinzinger and former NFL player Rocky Bleier will speak at the event.
