VANCOUVER, British Columbia — It didn’t quite have the impact of “17 seconds,” but the Blackhawks’ quick-strike of two goals in nine ticks was pretty satisfying.

Andrew Shaw and Marcus Kruger scored seconds apart in the third period to lift the Blackhawks to a 2-1 victory over the Canucks on Saturday night at Rogers Arena.

The goals were all Corey Crawford needed as the goaltender was spectacular with 36 saves to help the Hawks improve to 2-1-0 on their seven-game road trip and depart British Columbia with an NHL-high 36 points.
