Operation Walk Chicago: Helping the Poor Throughout the World

Dr. Victoria Brander, Founder of Operation Walk Chicago and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician at NorthShore University HealthSystem talks about leaving Saturday morning to lead a 55-member, two-week long humanitarian medical mission in Nah Trang, Vietnam. Dr. Brander and her team will offer hip and knee replacement surgeries to 70 locals who are incapacitated by pain, have extreme difficulty walking, and are poor and without access to this needed surgery.

    Very concerned about this medical team leaving today for Vietnam Nam – the massive storm that devastated the Phillipines is headed there an another is coming. Seems their ability to do surgery/give appropriate care will be limited if there is no power. Should delay the trip for everyone concerned.
