Highlights: Saad, Kane power complete performance at Minnesota

His voice lacking the hoarseness that often follows games, it was a relaxed Joel Quenneville who met the media in the bowels of Xcel Energy Center following the Blackhawks’ latest effort.

A blowout victory had done wonders for the coach’s vocal chords and his blood pressure.

“Much better,” Quenneville said Monday night after his team cruised to a 5-1 win over the Wild that featured the Hawks’ largest margin of victory this season to snap a two-game losing streak.

And then to drive home the point that he more than welcomed the shellacking after the Hawks had played eight one-goal games in their first 11 contests, Quenneville put it on repeat: “Much better, much better.”
