Rick Kogan talks with longtime Chicago comedian Caryn Bark about her new show, “Funny Old Broads.” The show was described by one reviewer as a “fearless 20-minute set that focuses on the perils of aging.”

Or, as Bark put it: “The truth is funnier than anything you can make up.”

The writer behind “Diary of a Skokie Girl,” Bark told Kogan that she has no regrets about her career in comedy.

Tickets to “Funny Old Broads” are on now at the Gorilla Tango’s Skokie Theatre, 7924 Lincoln Ave.
