Rick Kogan talks with “After Hours” producer Courtney Crowder about how she came to WGN, what she hopes to do with the show and how social media is changing the face of journalism.
“The comment I always get about Twitter is ‘Why do I want to know what someone had for lunch?'” Crowder said. “Depending on who you are, I might want to know what you had for lunch, but what Twitter allows us to do is look at what a billion people had for lunch and that says something about us and about our society.”
A full-time arts reporter at the Tribune, Crowder hopes to expand the “After Hours” social footprint. Interact with us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter. Use the hashtag #afterhours to talk with us during the show.
