3 hurt when water tower falls from building

Three people were injured when a water tower fell from a building near Diversey Harbor on the North Side this morning.

One person was listed in critical condition and the other two in fair to serious condition, according to the Chicago Fire Department. Two of the people were taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and the third to St. Joseph’s Hospital.

The black water tower tank fell from a mount on the roof in the 2800 block of North Pine Grove Avenue in the Lakeview neighborhood shortly after 10 a.m., authorities said.
