The Alfonso Soriano argument

Kap and Cubs  announcer Judd Sirott join forces to argue against Carman as to whether outfielder Alfonso Soriano is a good player, and why the trade to New York is better for Soriano than the trade that could have happened last year to San Francisco.

Alfonso Soriano rounds the bases after hitting his second two-run home run of the game in the fifth inning at Wrigley Field Saturday, July 6, 2013, in Chicago. (John J. Kim / Chicago Tribune)

say, Dave, do you remember the night the Cubs acquired Soriano, the way you gushed and guaranteed the Cubs would win the Series? (go back and listen to the tapes, dude)

that was the night i stopped listening to you, since, obviously, you need an intensive education in Moneyball and the importance of OPS over HRs.
