A body pulled from Lake Michigan this morning has been identified by relatives as a University of Chicago student who had been missing since last week, officials said.

Austin Hudson-Lapore, 21, disappeared last Wednesday night, possibly after rushing out his apartment to watch the passing storms along the lakefront, according to his family.

His body was spotted by a man fishing in the 3900 block of Lake Shore Drive around 6:30 a.m. today, authorities said. His body was brought to the morgue and identified there hours later by relatives, authorities said.
