This year at the Indy 500 they checked ALL things carried in, especially cooloers. With between 30 to 15 minutes before the start of the race they just opened the gates and let everyone in and didn't even check tickets. My brother-in-law had been waiting in line for 3 hours.

You need to realize Garry that as much as hockey folks and especially those fans in Chicago and Boston think there is nothing else that matters on television except hockey, the nation feels otherwise about these small sports (other than football and baseball.) Even the second largest viewing audience to ever watch a hockey game on network tv (the game 7 Red Wings and Hawks) only drew a market share of 2.5 compared to some crap re-run shows on CBS and ABC that drew 20 and 30 market shares. Of course the market shares in Chicago and Boston will be huge, but across the nation the network opted to show that crap kareoke show, The Voice, which pulled a viewing audience of like 40 million viewers.
