Woman chokes and dies at Wrigley Field

A 28-year-old woman from the south suburbs has died after choking on a hot dog during a Cubs game at Wrigley Field, authorities said.

Maureen Oleskiewicz was attending the game Sunday afternoon with her brother when she began choking, officials said.

The Cubs released a statement saying the organization was “saddened to hear news of the untimely death of Maureen Oleskiewicz.  We express our deepest sympathy to her family and friends.  We will continue to keep her family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
