Blackhawks to play Penguins at Soldier Field

Outdoor hockey returns to Chicago on March 1, 2014, when the Chicago Blackhawks will meet the Pittsburgh Penguins at Soldier Field, the NHL announced Wednesday.  The game is part of the new “Coors Light NHL Stadium Series,” an expansion of the hugely successful Winter Classic outdoor games of recent seasons.  In 2009, the Blackhawks played Detroit outdoors at Wrigley Field in front of over 40,000 fans.
