Obama: U.S. still trying to confirm Syria used chemical weapons

President Obama calls the situation in Syria a “slowly unfolding disaster” for the people there.  In a White House news conference Tuesday, Obama said the use of chemical weapons must be confirmed before the U.S. organizes a response. He again warned that the use of chemical weapons would be a “game changer.”

The President says the U.S. is still trying to confirm strong suspicions that Syria has used chemical weapons against rebels.  Some congressional Republicans are pushing for a limited U.S. intervention in Syria, including arming trusted rebel groups.  Tune in to WGN Radio for all the latest.
