Uh Mayra, this may come as a big shock to you, but this is what's called an entry level job, not a lifelong career choice.
This whole idea that these low level unskilled labor jobs should pay a "living wage" is simply asinine, plus you're going to price teen workers out of these jobs if you get your wish.
    Don't be a knucklehead.

Government should set a bottom pay scale. It is equal for all businesses. That pay should be based on 40 hours per week. Any job should pay based on a living wage. why not? Its the right thing to do. It takes roughly 15 dollars per hour for 40 to make a living. Businesses are free to pay more if they feel the job is worth it. Raising the wage to this level will not effect the cost of products enough to change lifestyle in any significant way. As a business owner , I should want my employees to be happy and able to make a living.

Oh, now THAT sounds like a great idea.
Bet it never crossed that mind of yours that doing that would make it impossible for the very same people you champion to be able to afford the necessities of life.
If you can't figure out why that would be, you'll only be demonstrating that you're even more clueless than you already have shown yourself to be.
