Deaths reported after fertilizer plant explodes near Waco, TX

A massive explosion leveled a fertilizer plant Wednesday night in the town of West, TX, near Waco, causing widespread damage. The blast caused “probably over 100 injuries” and some fatalities, according to D.L. Wilson of the Department of Public Safety at a late night press briefing, but said he could not confirm a specific number. Dozens of emergency vehicles are on the scene helping to assist and transport the injured.
