Chicago hospital adds gender identity clinic for kids

Though some may scoff at the notion that a child has a true sense of his or her own sexuality, Lurie Children’s Hospital’s addition of a center helping kids 13 and under with gender identity issues proves how real it is. Adding further evidence is a mother, whose 9-year-old was born a boy but lives life as a girl. She joins Turi to provide a parent’s perspective.
