A Special Presidents’ Day Evening Tour of the Dawes House Monday, February 18, 2013 7:00pm-8:00pm

Join us for a special Presidents’ Day treat:  A docent-led, evening tour of the palatial lakefront home of the 30th Vice President of the United States, Charles Gates Dawes.  Find out about Dawes’ work in Washington, D.C. under President Calvin Coolidge, his experiences as president of the U.S. Senate, and his dramatic tirade against the filibuster. Learn about his insights into human nature and economic crises, and the origin of his famous phrase: “Hell ‘N Maria!”
