WGN RADIO AND NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY AGREE TO THREE-YEAR BROADCAST EXTENSION
CHICAGO (January 13, 2013) – Northwestern University and WGN Radio AM 720 today announced a three-year broadcast rightsholder extension. The agreement will keep Wildcats football and men’s basketball on the 50,000-watt radio powerhouse through the conclusion of the 2015-16 season.

Dave Eanet serves as the voice of the Wildcats on WGN Radio, with analyst Ted Albrecht on football broadcasts, and former ’Cats Tim Doyle and Jitim Young during basketball season. Head Coaches Pat Fitzgerald and Bill Carmody, as well as Northwestern student-athletes make frequent appearances on the station’s different programs.
“WGN Radio is proud of the association with Chicago’s Big Ten team” said Jeff Hill, GSM/Interim General Manager of WGN Radio. “We are thrilled to continue to bring the excitement of Northwestern University athletics to our listeners.”
